José Alpízar

I am an Electronic Engineering student at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, currently in my final year and preparing to begin my graduation project next semester. I consider myself an organized, proactive individual with a strong ability to work in teams. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed several projects based on the RISC-V architecture, including both an emulator and a game running on this platform. I have also worked on electrical communication systems using LoRa modules and gained hands-on experience with FPGAs. Additionally, I completed a course on photovoltaic systems, which gave me foundational knowledge in renewable energy. I have experience programming in C, working with Linux environments, managing databases, and creating 3D models in Fusion 360. I am actively seeking an opportunity where I can apply my skills, continue learning, and contribute to innovative and impactful projects.

I have three years of experience as a technical support assistant at the university campus, where I have gained valuable knowledge in networking, customer service, equipment diagnostics, and maintenance. This role has helped me strengthen my problem-solving skills and deliver efficient technical solutions. Additionally, I have worked as a teaching assistant, supporting professors in both academic and technical tasks, further enhancing my sense of responsibility, communication skills, and teamwork.

As part of my Electronic Engineering studies, I have completed key courses that provided me with a strong foundation in programming, digital systems, communications, and control. Some of the most relevant courses include: Programming in C, C++, Python, x86 Assembly, and RISC-V; Electrical Communications (both theory and hands-on), where we implemented a system connecting a mobile device to an AWS-hosted database via LoRa modules; as well as courses in Power Systems, Integrated Circuits, Digital Design, Computer Architecture, Photovoltaics, and Automatic Control. These subjects have equipped me with practical, multidisciplinary skills for real-world engineering challenges.
