Independent researcher and writer. Since 2014

I have been a researcher and writer since 2014. From this, I have published several papers and participated in conferences. Aside from the academic work, I am a recurrent writer in newspapers and the media to make research visible and emit public policy recommendations and opinions. Right now, my focus is on development and poverty issues from various perspectives (sustainability, territory, innovation, and socioeconomics), departing from institutional economics and behavioral economics.

Microeconomics instructor, National University of Costa Rica. ( 2018 - 2019)

Due to my performance in the coursework of my major and my background in behavioral economics, I was appointed as an instructor for the microeconomics courses (microeconomics I, II, and III) since the third year of my bachelor’s degree.

Research and coordination assistant, National University of Costa Rica. (2017 - 2019)

I was a research assistant at the National University of Costa Rica for the program “Productive Sectors, Competitiveness, and Commerce” of the Department of Economics. I started a research program on behavioral economics and was appointed as its coordinator. Furthermore, I had additional functions in the coordination between the National University and the IMAS (a governmental social welfare institute) in bringing courses and support to small and medium entrepreneurs.

Researcher at the International Center for Economic Policy (Since 2023)

Currently, I'm working as a researcher at the International Center for Economic Policy (CINPE) in Costa Rica. Here I work on various research projects, my main lines of research here are: sustainable development, innovation, and rural development.
