    Job Summary

    & Responsibilities

    The Production Line Leader will support the Production Supervisor in all topics related to production continuity for the Nevro Costa Rica site within established KPIs. This employee will take responsibility for all aspects of the assigned area so that people, materials, time, and equipment are used effectively and to the highest quality and safely levels.

    The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Setting up the production line to manufacture planned work orders.
  • Preparing work schedules and assigning workers production line tasks.
  • Ensuring work orders are completed on time, in a safety manner, and with the highest quality levels.
  • Identifying and resolving production line problems in a timely manner with the Production Supervisor's support.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that orders are completed on time (e.g. Requesting materials to warehouse).
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Maintaining a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.
  • Managing and supporting workers so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability.
  • Coordinating training tasks with the Supervisor's support.
  • Handling storage locations within the area (non-BOM consumables, BOM consumables, tooling & fixturing, others), assuring material locations are in alignment with the system.
  • Acting as a positive role model to team members.
  • Optimizing production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
  • Performing recordkeeping tasks, including but not limited to inventory management, order tracking & KPIs.
  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems and create spreadsheets/reports as required.
  • Picking/Kitting processes for accurate and timely support of manufacturing work orders.
  • Executing ERP system transactions.
  • Any other duties assigned.

    • Role Requirements

  • Minimum a 9th grade diploma, high school diploma preferred.
  • Starting a Technical Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • IPC-A-610 certification is a plus.
  • Experience in medical industry production environments (+5 years).
  • Experience with inventory management processes in ERP software, QAD preferred.
  • Experience in leading a team is preferred.
  • Experience leading safety and continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.

    • Skills and Knowledge

  • Flexible attitude and the ability to deal with changing assignments and priorities.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the site level in Spanish.
  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach and persuade.
  • Results oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and deliverables and prioritize.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO Requirements and OSHA requirements, as a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Capable lifting to 15 Kg (35 lb) boxes.
