FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Release Train Engineer

  • Lead all aspects of the ART and the SAFe framework to ensure its function and efficiency
  • Facilitate the ART Program events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value: PI Planning readiness, PI Planning event, ART sync, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshop
  • Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities
  • Help manage risks and dependencies
  • Call out and track impediments
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Encourage collaboration between teams
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other customers to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Report status updates and metrics to senior leadership on the performance and efficiency of the ART
  • Serve as a change agent, communicator and collaborator while delivering value
Scrum Master

  • Prepare for PI Planning by drafting PI Plans, coordinating with other teams, creating Team PI Objectives and review Final Plans and Business Value with Business Owners
  • Supporting Iteration Execution by facilitating TEAM events: Backlog Refinement, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-Up, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to deliver value through coaching, backlog consistency, ART alignment, capacity allocation and backlog progress
  • Support establishing the Team Kanban Board
  • Help the team establish a system of metrics to assess and improve its overall performance: Flow distribution, velocity, time, load, efficiency, and predictability.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Business, or similar field
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile Processes and procedures (including SAFe framework, metrics, and in the implementation of Agile Release Train)
  • At least 5 years of proven record of accomplishment in a Project/Program Management or Scrum Master role, or relevant involvement in successfully planning, managing, and delivering medium to large projects, systems, or programs
  • Strong situational leadership, influencing, and decisionmaking skills with the ability to effectively delivering on commitments and manage ambiguities.
  • Effective oral and written English communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with multiple teams in a global environment essential
  • Skills in MS Office, Project, PowerPoint and Azure Boards or Kanban boards or other project planning tools required
  • Agile (SAFe) certifications or other Agile certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with Finance, Procurement, Asset Management or Software Development is a plus
