Your tasks:


  • Ensures that the Costa Rica legal entity management strategy is in compliance with local and national laws
  • Preparation of cost center, personnel as well as investment budgets based on specifications and experience
  • Monitors cost trends based on budget as well as current business performance, initiates corrective action when targets are at risk or fundamental conflicts arise
  • Building up and maintaining a high level of competence in manufacturing technology in order to effectively support innovation and design production processes geared to marketdriven quality with short throughput times and low costs to optimize the sense of continuous improvement
  • Shall handle all corporate operations development, reporting, and effective monitoring of KPIs to ensure compliance with annual objectives and global operations initiatives
  • Ensures that quality procedures, company policies, and safety policies and procedures are followed by personnel, Promoting a holistic approach to quality throughout the organization
  • Definition and continuous improvement of processes in order processing, warehouse management, logistics and production in order to satisfy customer orders quickly, on time, reliably, and with minimum stocks
  • Optimization of production technology, equipment, degree of automation and IT tools
  • Responsible to develop efficiency metrics, measurement criteria, and real time reporting of operator, work cell, and equipment efficiency within the organization, active use of KPIs to control performance of all areas
  • Effectively manage and oversee all aspects of the Quality Management System within the operations functions
  • Ensuring that sources of danger in the workplace are eliminated and that work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations
  • Benchmarking of the most important parameters with the international locations and external companies
  • Responsible for the local implementation of the H+S GoLeanprogram including regulars assessments and reporting
  • Ensures compliance with the H+S Global Management System and fulfilment of the requirements of the relevant certification standards
  • Boundaries of responsibilities and interaction with others
  • Leader / responsible for the departments Purchasing & Planning, Logistics, Process & Technologies, Manufacturing & Facility in Costa Rica
  • Planning of production and personnel capacities in all departments according to sales development and
- budget figures

  • Ensuring a high utilization of the existing personnel and production capacities. Management of instruments in order to adapt capacities to demand
  • Close interaction within the global operations network to ensure best service to our customers
  • Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Management of department heads in accordance with H+S management guidelines
  • Setting goals in accordance with the MbO approach and consistently pursuing them in order to achieve them
  • Maintaining and building a motivated management and staff team
  • Coaches and mentors direct reports, colleagues, customers, visitors, etc.
  • Professional balance between personal responsibility and delegation of tasks
  • Provides leadership and support developing empowered selforganized teams according to the H+S leadership principles
  • Ensures employee assessments are completed timely, accurately, equitable and are legally compliant
  • Conducts compliant professional interviews and documents within 24 hours supporting corporate employer branding goals
  • Processes employee/contractor payroll by validating time and attendance timely and accurately with HR support as needed
  • Recognizes employee workplace conflicts early and manages, involving HR for support and guidance
  • Expert knowledge of all policies ensuring compliance among workplace addressing with HR for support as needed
  • Directs organizational operations, projects, and services within the confines of the corporate values and holds others to the same standard
  • Adheres to all regulations and guidelines contained in the Global Management System and ensures staff are informed and operating within the H+S guidelines

    Your profile:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in related field
  • Master of Science Degree in related field

Experience:


  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Operations (Production, Process Eng., Supply Chain Mgmt)
  • Minimum of 10 years supervisory/managerial leadership experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience working in a global company
  • Sound experience in project management
  • Skills/Knowledge:
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English expertise is essential
  • Strong knowledge of technologies, products, materials
