Responsibilities:


  • Provide Overall Leadership for Project Team including leadership, goalsetting, communications, and facilitation skills to guide and motivate project personnel.
  • Manage external contractors and vendors to ensure completion of projects per the agreed upon milestones and within budget.
  • Responsible for tracking, monitoring and managing direct report project.
  • Identify and manage resolution of potential deviations from the quote/contract, Project Master Plan or other project documents.
  • Perform and manage project risk relative to the client and FMCR.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate resource allocations from all areas to support the project requirements and monitor their utilization/efficiency.
  • Early warning communication of variances in schedules and financials internally and externally
  • Lead the development of the transfer cost of goods sold (TCOGS) with collaboration for the operations team for the production line up through transfer to sustaining manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with the team on schedule development and maintenance
  • Ensures that the project tasks are updated by the team and overall project schedule status is reviewed weekly
  • Ensures that the team has documented mitigations to identified risks and when buffer consumption has exceeded expectations
  • Track and manage project budget to plan along with identify and improve processes to reduce costs
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis (as required) and provide frequently updates to FMCR Management.
  • Document project and team meetings minutes and distribute to appropriate management.
  • Communicate variances in project budgets, plans and schedules with clients and Management. Negotiate necessary changes with clients.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience or equivalent in regulated industry such as medical device and/or healthcare products manufacturing in an engineering and molding/assembly environment.
  • Experience in a metric driven culture specific experience in LEAN principles with an ability to be White and Green Belt certified within 12 months of start date (GROWTTH Methodology). Understanding of use of lean principles.
  • Strong team oriented professional with good interpersonal skills who is handson with a high energy approach to work.
  • Trustworthy, discrete and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Accurate and attention to detail
  • Leadership ability and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) both to senior management, customers and associates
  • Ability to travel as required (30%)
  • MBA degree or the educational equivalent
  • Licenses / Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Preferred; Project Management Certified
  • FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 and design control experience preferred. Wellrounded experience in medical quality systems, product development and manufacturing disciplines. Understanding of required standards/regulations impacting medical devices.
  • Experience in Injection Molding environments and activities.
