ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Who you will work with:

This is a new senior - level role that will interact closely with DevSecOps engineers, CI/CD engineers, data engineers, UI developers, cloud platform developers, architects, and stakeholders across the various Studio groups in Engineering.

You will also collaborate cross-functionally with product line managers, sales, professional services, technologists, and customer-facing teams. You will report to a regional manager in Costa Rica in the Studio AI directorate in Engineering.

What you'll do / y

our responsibilities:

You will be an essential technical contributor in delivering a sustainable, cloud-native, cloud-agnostic software ecosystem for our customers to integrate their RTOS devices with the cloud and leverage the benefits of analytics platform capabilities such as (but not limited to) Digital Feedback Loops, Platform Health or any other project in the AI domain.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualize, develop, and release software.
Help securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
Ongoing monitoring of the Digital Feedback Loop and Platform Health architecture, checking for performance and compliance
Creating repeatable, robust, and efficient installer code (Infrastructure as Code, or IaC)
Developing digital infrastructure and working on automated code to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Supporting the automation of Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Testing
Building platform environments to support autoscaling for the team in the future

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications - MUST HAVE:

BSc _(or equivalent work experience)_ in Computer Science, Computer / Electrical / Software / Systems / Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Math / Physics, or another STEM field.
Advanced degrees (e.g., MSc or PhD) are appreciated, but not required.
5+ years working in software development, with at least 3+ years of experience working in all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction _(Career gaps are ok; life happens)_
Programming skills in at least one higherlevel language (Python, Java, C++, C#, etc.)
Exceptional, inclusive, collaborative team player comfortable with working in distributed agile environments.
Selfmanaged, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
Blend of technical expertise and soft skills, including effective & flexible communication skills in English.

Experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Handson experience with:
Cloudify, Terraform, Helm charts, and similar technologies.
Kubernetes, Docker, and related container & cloud deployment technologies
CM/CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins and Postman)
Relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and nonrelational databases (Mongo DB, Neo4j, etc.)
Solid understanding of software product development lifecycle (including requirements and verification)
Familiarity with at least one major cloud service provider _(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)_
Awareness of security considerations relevant to software deployments
