As an IT Intern specializing in data visualization and analysis, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of data science. Your role will involve collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to derive meaningful insights. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to create interactive dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

Dashboard Creation and Visualization:

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Transform raw data into visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and tables.
• Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly and accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

Data Collection and Processing:

• Collect data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Clean, organize, and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.
• Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve relevant information.

Statistical Analysis:

• Perform statistical analyses on datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Build predictive models (e.g., propensity models, attrition models) to support business decisions.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements.
• Fine-tune reporting formats based on stakeholder feedback.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable insights.

Continuous Learning:

• Learn to work with various analytics platforms and tools.
• Explore techniques for search engine optimization (SEO) and website analytics.

Qualifications

• Education: Pursuing (last year of education) or completed a relevant degree in fields such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business Analytics (bachelor's level).
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Basic knowledge of SAS is a plus.
• Experience:
  • Willingness to work on routine data reporting tasks.
  • Exposure to data collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with SEO concepts and website metrics.
