The Opportunity


This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, mínimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.


What You'll Do

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
  • Assesses potential new suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities. Provides technical support for the introduction of components from a new supplier. Evaluates, monitors and approve new and existing external suppliers based in their qualifications and performance, acts as a spokesperson to external suppliers.
  • Analyzes incoming material defects and communicates issues to suppliers. Investigate failures related to supplier materials, and dispositions, drives and tracks corrective/preventive action plans where necessary
  • Generates test protocols, monitors testing, issues material qualification test reports and approves components for use.
  • Assists in generating component specifications, generates and maintains incoming inspection procedures and provides input from component quality, inspectability and manufacturability perspectives. Trains inspectors to these procedures as required.
  • Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance. As required, supervise technical personnel for task execution
  • Responsible for meeting daily goals; proactively seek ways to support the customer (i.e., working with engineering to find alternative resolutions to issues, while maintaining compliance, without stopping production)
- (As required) Supervise, train, and develop nonexempt personnel, and implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements. Develop goals/objectives for all assigned personnel; monitor employees' performance against goals, provide performance feedback; write and conduct development plans/performance appraisals; manage employee HR issues. Manage and assign resources to address business needs, including staffing levels, overtime needs and project support

  • Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques. Develops knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization and applies this knowledge in leadership roles in the company

Shift:
Admin (Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)


On-Site position

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field
  • 4 years of related experience
  • Advance level of English
