The Data Management Program Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the global Data Management Strategy and direction for GREF.

The Data Management Program Lead recommends data management solutions and documents the current data environment and business requirements for enhancements.

The Data Management Lead will focus on data management strategy, process improvement, and workflow creation to manage and coordinate the activities of the Data Management team to effectively implement the Data Management Strategy according to defined priorities.

The Lead is a highly-motivated, solution-driven leader who delivers a high standard of service to our customer while effectively communicating to individuals at various levels of the technical and business communities.

The Data Management Program Lead is an energetic self-starter who is able to make well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous data issues and support data governance framework documentation and data dictionaries.

They are passionate about data quality, enjoy working with and analyzing data, have strong collaborative and influencing skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Data Management Program Lead combines people management, project management, stakeholder management, data governance and data management capabilities and has the ability to quickly understand and explore various data models, evaluate and document business processes, and communicate findings and recommendations with the client.


Responsibilities:

Manage the Data Management Program plan, timeline, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.

Contribute to the development of data standards, rules, and quality metrics for data domains and metadata in partnership with Shared Operations Services Data Integrity, Risk Inspections and Compliance Data Governance, data owners, data stewards, and other stakeholders.

Serve in a strategic manner as a Subject Matter Expert promoting a data driven culture across the organization, communicating business value and benefit, and implementing good data practices across the organization.

Measure, on a periodic basis, data capabilities against the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

Framework, communicate Data Management team's performance and define roadmaps for continuous improvement in the following areas:
Data Management Strategy, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Stewardship, and Data Operations.
Coach team members to develop strong customer support/technical skills.
Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams (including data architecture, enterprise architecture, data engineering, and product teams) to ensure that data management systems and tools meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Experience
3 + years related experience in commercial real estate management (preferred) or related industry.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or Information Technology or Software Engineering or Mathematics or Liberal Arts preferred.

8+ years of experience in data domain such as Data Analysis, Data Governance, Data Management, Customer Master Data, Enterprise Information Management, Data Modeling, and Data Quality Management.

Must have foundational exposure to Data Concepts, i.e. Data Visualization, Data Analytics, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, etc.
Knowledge and experience working with current technologies supporting Data Governance Frameworks, such as Informatica or Collibra
Experience with data quality monitoring, data quality tools, data cleansing
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification and AWS experience a plus.
