Job Description - Full Stack DevOps Architect

Title:

Full Stack DevOps Architect

Location:

Remote, based in Costa Rica

Job Overview:

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Utilize IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
Ensure system security through the implementation of industrystandard security best practices and AWS security services.
Collaborate with software development teams to adopt DevOps practices, including integration of code quality checks, automated testing, and proactive monitoring into the development lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams in DevOps methodologies and AWS best practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong handson experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, Route 53, IAM) and understanding of AWS architectural best practices.
Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and database architecture within a cloud environment.
Proficiency in at least one highlevel programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java) and script languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
