The
Sales Operations Manager provides revenue, regulatory and project support for the Sales function. Also, it oversights activities after handover to the Ratings Team for new and existing business in assigned countries.

Under the direct supervision of the VP, Sales Operations, assigns work to and manages the performance of Sales Ops associates providing internal and customer facing support related to revenue recognition, regulations, projects, and other items.


On a regular basis, the Sales Operations Manager will:

  • Assist the VP of Sales Operations in delivering on the Sales Operations directive by absorbing activities so that Sales can increase time spent working with customers.
  • Manage assigned portfolio within the region (North America) and supervise associates that manage the internal communications with the different teams, providing customer support that improves the customer experience and ensures the Sales teams can focus on the relevant customerrelated activities.
  • Responsible for delivering high levels of service quality to internal and external clients. Will chip in to the development of critical metrics for assigned regions.
  • Be accountable for the results produced by the team and will handle its performance through assigning and reviewing work performed and providing mentor, training, and other support. Will supplement team by contributing to the work performed.
  • Develop associates to meet evolving business needs.
  • Supervise for and identify trends affecting SFDC data quality.
  • Identify and raise issues that require VP, Sales Operations, Account Management, Relationship Management and/or Senior Management involvement. Engage appropriate Moody's Investors Service personnel, produce briefing memos, and provide support so that issues are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Build, and maintain excellent relationships with internal partners across Moody's, with particular emphasis on the Sales organization in assigned region(s).
  • Work with the Moody's Sales teams, Billing, Collections, GMO, and Pricing to minimize Unbilled and Accounts Receivable. Work with Sales teams, GMO, Pricing and Billing to determine root causes and corrective actions for any issues that may arise.
  • Identify, recommend, and lead implementation of opportunities to improve the Commercial processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Lead and/or participate in projects as assigned.
  • Can represent the Sales Ops team in internal meetings where applicable.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, marketing or any relevant field
  • 2+ managing or developing people and experience with personnel management
  • 4+ years' experience in a customer success/support role
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology is a plus
  • Ability to understand capital markets, ratings, legal and compliance matters
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Consistent record to understand issues/problems, identify root causes, develop and implement solution paths
  • Effectively prepare for and conduct telephone meetings with issuers at all levels independently and with mínimal oversight to respond to inquiries and provide status updates
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Great teammate with ability to work independently.
  • Advanced command of oral and written English
