    Job Description:

    Datasite is looking to add a few more QA Engineer's to our team in Heredia, Costa Rica. This is a hybrid role; minimum 1 day per week in our Heredia office with potential for more.

    What are we building?

    Datasite is building a new platform to provide powerful and innovative solutions to enable our clients to manage the most complex deals on the planet as efficiently as possible.

    We want to be the easiest, fastest, and most intuitive way to progress deals to a successful outcome – enabling the bankers, lawyers, and professionals we work alongside to focus on doing what they do best for their clients.

    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for planning, design, development and execution of test processes, test plans and test scripts. You will design and implement automated and occasionally, manual test suites for our products in an Agile environment. Establish and maintain bidirectional requirements traceability to test cases. Utilizes proficiency and strong hands-on experience in developing both manual and automated test scripts.

    • Drive the current test automation frameworks and current QA processes and develop and execute manual/automated test scripts for new and existing products
    • Active participation in – Standups, Sprint Planning, Refinement meetings, Retrospections, and all the QA team related meetings.
    • Automate the scenarios using the existing frameworks built in house and fixing the automation test issues when the application code is changed
    • Define QA standards, strategies, and processes, observing industry best practices
    • Follow and adhere to the best practices of software test engineering, Agile methodology, QA practices and processes in the organization.
    • Own the deliverables such as Test Reports, Test Cases & quality of the code in the module/features you work, and the quality of the product tested
    • Be an active participant in all the CI/CD activities and own the code promotion to higher environments when scheduled
    • Be a part of Prod Support activities and answer to the Pager Duty while scheduled
    • Enhancing the automation frameworks used for UI/API testing
    • Effective communication with the Product owners and Dev leads to triage the issues created by you and your peers and prioritizing the fixes
    • Mentoring other team members in improving their automation skills

    Education / Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in Web Application automation testing with some experience in API/UI testing
    • Proficient in at least 1 Object Oriented programming language (Java and/or Ruby preferred)
    • Experienced in BDD tools like Cucumber preferred
