The Networking and Edge Group, NEX, is one of six externally reported Business Units for Intel, with 2023 Revenue of 6B.

The major product lines in NEX include Edge, Networking Xeon and SOC, 5G, Base Station, Ethernet FNIC, and IPU.

The vision for NEX is to lift the world's networks and edge systems from fixed-function hardware into open software running on programmable hardware.


This finance position will provide the opportunity to drive operating margin and optimize our PnL by leading and recommending actionable insights to senior management.

This role will also lead a cross-collaborative team to develop leadership and project management skills.


The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • This position works closely with NEX Cost and Inventory Lead to drive actions to improve inventory reserves across all NEX line of businesses.
  • Analyze raw data into PnL impacts to uncover trends and variance drivers that feed into business insights.
  • Partners closely with NEX demand and supply planners, IF Cost and Inventory Team, and NEX business stakeholders to drive continuous PnL improvements.
  • Present to senior management on quarterly reporting and biweekly Risk and Opportunity recommendations.
  • Build efficient and scalable forecast and close cycle processes that enable fast data turnaround by automating tasks in Excel.
  • Develop inventory sensitivity to demand financial tools to provide insights for whatif scenarios.
  • Deliver concise and impactful forecast and close cycle business insights to key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Must have unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly using nested XLOOKUP functions and pivot tables.
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management in the semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience with variance analysis.
  • Familiarity with iCost, PBS, BPC, and SAP.
  • Selfstarter with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.

Working Model:


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.


In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
