Role Summary:


This job role involves
providing interpretation for executives or teams,
facilitating communication between parties who speak different languages,
coordinating timelines and budgets, assisting in project management,
conducting research, and
providing administrative support.

Additionally, the role may require leadership, coordination with external partners, and basic knowledge of laws and taxes in Costa Rica.


Responsibilities:


Interpretation:


  • The primary role of is to provide interpretation for the executive or organization. Be fluent in the both English and Spanish and able to accurately interpret conversations, meanings, meetings, presentations, and other communication.

Communication:


  • Responsible for facilitating communication between executives, project managers, and others who speak a different language. This may involve scheduling meetings with interpreters, coordinating travel arrangements, and ensuring that all parties are aware of the interpretation services that will be provided.

Coordination:


  • The executive assistant may be responsible for coordinating with external partners, such as vendors or clients, who speak a different language. They will need to ensure that all communication is accurate and clear.

Timeline and Budget Management:


  • The assistant will be assisting in managing timelines and budgets for different projects. Follow up and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, and will be assisting in communicating of any delays or cost overruns to the relevant stakeholders.

Follow-up:


  • Assist in driving and following up on various tasks and projects to ensure that they are progressing as planned. Coordinate and help resolve impediments with different team members and stakeholders to ensure the projects progress smoothly and that everyone is aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.

Project Management:


  • May be responsible for managing different projects from start to finish. This may include defining project scope, developing project plans, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.

Administrative Support:


  • Provide support to variety of administrative tasks. Have basic understanding and knowledge of laws and taxes in Costa Rica. To ensure the team and organization is in compliance, and to identify any potential risks or issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.

Research:


  • Conduct research in the target language(s) to help the team understand the market, industry, or specific topics of interest.

Leadership:


  • May be required to leadership to different teams or groups within the organization. Understand, motivate, inspire, and enable others to achieve their goals, and must be able to provide guidance and support as needed.

Professionalism:


  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, and must be able to effectively represent the team and organization. This may involve interacting with highlevel executives, government officials, or other VIPs.

Qualifications:


  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent in communication to accurately convey messages and in interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Knowledgeable about Costa Rica's work and labor laws and regulations
  • Enthusiastic and proactive in carrying out tasks
  • Resourceful and on top of things
  • Open and helpful with a contributing mindset
  • Highly detailo
