- Collaborate with project managers and engineers throughout the capital investment process to drive timely project closures and ensure a properly stated Asset Under Construction balance for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure complete and accurate asset master data is received to capitalize assets for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.
- Provide technical guidance on capital vs. expense and other Bayer accounting policies.
- Manage asset master data and asset lifecycle changes, such as retirements, transfers, etc. for all tangible assets.
- Complete reconciliations and roll-forward to support the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting of Bayer's tangible and intangible fixed assets, including leases.
- Collaborate with the CoE and GPO to identify and resolve issues (for example – SAP posting, system and enablers) timely.
- Create and review evidence to comply with internal controls.
- Plan, coordinate and execute the annual fixed asset physical inventory.
- Manage Fixed Assets Leases (IFRS16).
- University studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting or similar.
- SAP knowledge (desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Being resolutive, independent and a decision-making person.
- Ability to work under pressure and capacity to prioritize properly the workload.
- Intermediate English B2/B2+ (R&W).
- Portuguese (desirable).
- High level of Microsoft office programs. Excel mandatory.
- Being able to teach others and invest in the expertise and capabilities of the people.
- Analytical, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up.
- Demonstrated teamwork spirit.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
