Job Summary:

Under the direction of a project leader and other graphic designer, responsible for creating and revising detail drawings using 3-Dimensional modeling tools.

Responsible for the integrity of the computer-graphic product and process model databases. These models must be suitable for internal concurrent manufacture, CMM data extraction and vendor translation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Works simultaneously with development, manufacturing, tool and process engineers to create complex 3D surfaced or solid models of orthopaedic implants, provisionals and instrumentation.
Works simultaneously with process engineering and CNC programming to develop casting, forging and processing models and drawings.
Evaluates designs using anatomic data.
Manages a portion of the graphics maintenance workload.
Complies with existing procedures and standards to create product models and drawings that comply with Quality Systems Regulations.

Innovative in developing new designs. Develops patentable designs.
Assists with the development of processes and techniques that shorten development cycle times.
Adapts quickly to new technologies.
Manages special assignments and maintenance responsibilities effectively. Anticipates and minimizes conflicting deadlines.

- experience creating solid models using Unigraphics software.

Capable of modifying existing Unigraphics models and drawings to ZCN requirements.

Education/Experience Requirements

A twoyear technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
