Job description

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and is responsible for managing and leading the team in charge of Accounts Payables Reconciliations (i.e.

GRIR, AP Trade), compliance delivery (SOX Controls), interviewing, hiring, staffing, monitoring of managers and supervisors, implementing company policies and procedures and managing the Division stakeholders.

This person will be supporting and partnering with the Other internal teams (Payments, High Risk Payments and T&E) and the Divisions to achieve monthly targets.


This role will work to optimize and improve the processes involved in all the Account Reconciliation and Controls teams and ensure on time and quality delivery of CRFC business goals.

This person will support the Monthly Business Reviews, ensures timely and transparent communication and resolution of issues and escalations, This person also interacts regularly with Senior Leadership, Stakeholders and Customers.

The Manager is responsible for people development, organizational health and to implement a quality culture that role models Stryker's mission and values.


What you will do:


  • Responsible for HR supervisory responsibilities of teams ranging from 58 direct reports
  • Leads the day to day operation of AP COE GQO team, setting ongoing individual and team objectives, prioritizing work, and optimizing resources to meet or exceed SLA's
  • Support the team as the process SME to develop the staff process knowledge and provide guidance when working through complex cases.
  • Supports staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and taking effective actions to address performance matters
  • Responsible for controls including GRNI, Duplicate Invoices, and AP Subledger Reconciliation
  • Develops and maintains a productive team, designs and implements people strategies to foster career development, skill development, succession planning, healthy work environment across I2P.
  • Fosters a culture aligned with Stryker values, coleads the initiatives for people growth.
  • Supports for the implementation, review and compliance of process controls.
  • Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP
  • Supports processes related to the identification and evaluation of the organization's risk areas and provides significant input to the development of annual business plans.
  • Works with Internal and external audit teams to review and enforce policies.
  • Leads the day to day operation of AP team, setting ongoing individual and team objectives, prioritizing work, and optimizing resources to meet or exceed SLA's.
  • Ensures critical business processes are well documented and communicated to facilitate effective and efficient execution.
  • Drive culture of standardization, process excellence and continuous process improvement across teams and across I2P.
  • Project management and business reengineering initiatives. Ability to manage projects that will significantly impact the business upto and including working with senior leadership on major company projects.
  • Performs other related work as assigned by management

What you need:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economy, or related field.
  • MS Office Suite
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Any other language is a plus
  • Working knowledge of credit reporting agencies (Experian, D+B) is a plus
  • Oracle and SAP systems knowledge is a big plus
