Role Profile


The Index Production Analyst role sits within FTSE Russell Index Management team which is part of the Data & Analytics division within LSEG.


The Index Management team are ultimately responsible for the daily management of the FTSE Russell index / product portfolio, specifically the data management, corporate action & event management, constituent portfolio management and the production of client content.

It is a global group, with teams in Hong Kong, Taipei, London & Fort Mill. The group operates a "follow the sun model" and work as a single team across the different time-zones.

Please note that the working hours for this position can vary as the business needs require.

This means that weekend work, extended hours, and market holiday coverage can and will be expected to meet critical business deadlines.


  • Key Responsibilities


As an Index Production Analyst, the individual will be responsible for the processing & support activities related to the production and publishing of FTSE Russell Indices and Products.


Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Completion of daily FTSE Russell production run including creating and checking FTSE Russell Products, to deadlines as assigned by your line manager.
  • Supporting the quarterly rebalance production of indices and the associated implementation of any changes, in accordance with the production review schedule.
  • Using all available data sources to validate corporate actions and events within FTSE Russell product files.
  • Communicating with the Index Management teams globally for any production issues that may arise on a day to day basis.
  • Ensuring all client product files are produced and delivered correctly while meeting product specific deadlines each evening.
  • Producing and delivering review products in a timely manner during each review period.
  • Timely investigation and resolution of any client queries specific to the production and file delivery process.
  • Highlight and recommend process improvements to your line manager that will improve the levels of quality, productivity & client service.
  • Participate in projects or initiatives as needed such as writing procedures.
  • Ensure that all of your tasks have been completed in accordance with your checklist(s) and procedures.
  • Strive to constantly improve your skills through training & development.
  • Support the onboarding of new business to the team.
  • Actively contribute to the training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across teams (including other offices), actively encouraging interaction and providing assistance to others where required.
  • Assist in other adhoc duties when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • It is expected that with limited supervision the individual will deliver each of the key objectives of the role identified above, working to strict deadlines and to the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience within the financial industry, ideally working with company data in a live production environment.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of global financial markets and products.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage workloads effectively in a pressured environment.
  • A proven track record for achievement in delivering a high quality service.
