WHAT YOU'LL DO:

BCG Nexus Costa Rica is an exciting new office that will execute best-in-class operations, serving the broader BCG business. Nexus Costa Rica will be a hub for regional and global functional teams to be co-located in a dynamic and engaging space, enabling team members to connect with and serve our BCG and client customer base. These diverse set of business services teams will cover functions such as administrative support, visual services, talent acquisition, and IT. The office is expected to expand its employee base significantly over the next few years.

This position supports the local finance function to maintain processes and controls, to ensure integrity of financial reporting. As a member of the Costa Rica local accounting team, he/she will participate in the delivery of reliable accounting services to support the business needs.

He/she will provide timely and reliable financial and administrative support to the NXC office in the following areas:

Coordinate and perform vendor onboarding processes

Categorizing capital expenditures to appropriate fixed asset category in the Oracle Fixed Asset System while ensuring full compliance with free trade zone regulations

Prepare month-end accruals and journal entries

Perform monthly amortization of prepaid expenses to align with the BCG's Prepaid Expense policy
:

Perform assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

Address questions/issues by conducting research utilizing Oracle and Business Objects report

Auditing process related to weekly timesheet and expenses, according to company T&E policy, case coding and statutory compliance

Processing payment list on a weekly schedule including printing and archiving records:

Assist with preparation of Global Accounting requests, Lease accounting maintenance and reconciliation

Assisting in gathering information for annual audit reviews for both internal and external audits

Lead T&E and time and expense training sessions for newly hired employees

Support ad hoc requests and provide backup to Senior Financial Analyst as needed

YOU'RE GOOD AT:

Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP (preferred)
Knowledge working with companies under the Free Trade Zone regime is desired.
Strong organizational and analytical skills in conjunction with great attention to detail.
Continuously looking to identify and drive opportunities to improve processes.
Ability to problemsolve and raise concerns when needed.
Utilize Oracle reports and Business Objects queries to address questions and/or research issues.
SAP knowledge is desired (BCG will migrate from Oracle to SAP in 2024)
Ability to work effectively with other teams and all levels of the organization.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, with minimum of 23 years of experience.
Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of MS Office.
Experience with accounting monthend close and yearend cycles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a drive to provide a high level of customer service.
Experience with Oracle, Business Objects and working with different systems is a plus.
Shared service industry experience is a plus.
Must have strong oral and written English communication skills.

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively.

We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
