Riverpoint Medical Costa Rica is hiring a
General Manager at the Coyol Business Park site
. At Riverpoint Medical you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets.

We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices.

Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies.

This position is in a high growth environment with the opportunity to build an organization to support medical device manufacturing.

As the leader of Riverpoint Medical's Costa Rica manufacturing site, you will oversee all aspects of operations, develop a high performing team, attract, and retain talent to support manufacturing operations, and develop and execute a strategy for success.


Duties and Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure quality, customer satisfaction, on time delivery and cost-effective management of all resources, while providing leadership and vision to ensure that development and operational goals are achieved in line with company objectives.
  • Responsible for daytoday management of the business to achieve the results in terms of timelines, cost objectives and process implementation.
  • Manages each phase of manufacturing to accomplish highvolume manufacturing.
  • Communicate the company vision and develop site culture through leading from the front with words and actions.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop, implement, and communicate the operations strategy.
  • Collaborate effectively with key areas of the business: Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, and HR.
  • Develop programs, projects, goals, and metrics to build and lead the manufacturing organization to optimize operational performance.
  • Act as an active champion of quality and productivity improvement efforts to deliver organizational objectives.
  • Identify, recommend and implement processes (e.g. Lean/Six-Sigma), technologies and systems to continuously improve product and quality as well as operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement processes, technologies and tooling needed to achieve a lean production model.
  • Provide leadership and strategy in the hiring, development, engagement, and performance of the organization.
  • Make decisions, at times difficult and/or unpopular, that support and drive the organization strategy; influences others to support the decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all GMP rules, product documentation, specifications, SOPs, and global regulatory authorities to include FDA, BSI, ISO requirements, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • A minimum of years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development
years of experience in manufacturing operations preferably in the medical device industry

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, grow and motivate both teams and individuals in a multidisciplinary/cross functional teamoriented environment.
  • A global mindset and strategic thinking abilities are essential while ensuring execution on organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highgrowth, fastpaced setting and to work effectively across organizational lines.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills are required. Requires highly effective influencing, verbal and written communications skills, and negotiating skills
  • Results and goal oriented; a true professional who can deliver on budget and on time who has strong business and financial acumen along with demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, interface with internal engineering/technical experts and external technical representatives, and manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment setting.
