- Record fixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls
- Recommend any updates to accounting policies affecting fixed assets to management.
- Record in the accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and disposals.
- Track, compile, and record project costs in fixed asset accounts; close out the accounts at the completion of the projects
- Supervise reconciliations of fixed asset subsidiary ledgers to summary-level accounts in the general ledger
- Perform annual fixed asset physical inventories.
- Recommend fixed assets that should be disposed or retired to management.
- As may be requested by management, perform fixed asset related analyses.
- Lead fixed asset related audit schedules, and collaborate with auditors on their assignments.
- Utilizes expertise to interpret the various outside generated requirements and practices and determines their applicability to the business.
- Ensures inventories are properly valued in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and assets are safely guarded.
- Manage assets in leasing and the corresponding accounting.
- Bring support to the manager in other accounting process.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Ensure the fixed assets subledger and fiscal accounting is align with Procomer requirements.
- Strong knowledge and experience of fixed assets and general ledger accounting
- Strong proficiency with Excel and Word
- SAP experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Strong ability to work individually or in a team setting
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong ability to give attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at the same time
- SAP experience preferred.
- An advanced degree or certification, such as an MBA, CCE, CMA, CPI or Project Management beneficial.
