The Smartsheet Community team is looking for a Community Engagement Specialist.

This individual will be part of the Digital Marketing team with a focus on helping grow engagement and member participation on our Community Platform by helping execute on our Community Strategy focused on increasing visits, membership, engagement.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Community and can be based in San Jose, Costa Rica.


You Will:


  • Handle content moderation and engage with our members, acknowledging their contributions and encouraging continued and increasing participation.
  • Help develop and curate interesting and relevant content including but not limited to announcements; newsletters; question of the month, engagement prompts and more.
  • Aid the team in helping raise awareness and meaningful engagement around brand campaigns and community activations.
  • Collaborate and actively participate in team huddles and brainstorm sessions by regularly sharing your ideas on how to create a more engaging and enjoyable environment for our customers.
  • Be the voice of the community and maintain a pulse on overall Community sentiment and bubble up feedback and testimonials onplatform as well as help build and deliver reports on community health.
  • Help build community growth and increase visits, membership and engagement through execution of community strategy.
  • Support other duties as assigned

You Have:


  • 2+ years of experience managing online communities or social media channels.
  • Strong Communication skills particularly written communication skills, to include English language proficiency.
  • Experience building newsletters, social graphics or other design elements
  • Empathy and ability to acknowledge and see things from the perspective of our customers.
  • Experience with Higher Logic's Vanilla platform (preferred but not required)
