Perform preliminary credit analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach, and presentations, following mentorship provided by D&A Manager


Examples include:

  • Analyze financial data and statements provided by other teams within Moody's to perform the preliminary analysis.
  • Support credit monitoring/surveillance of issuers by e.g., preparing data for surveillance, periodically updating preliminary components of analysis, and increasing deeper credit reviews when vital.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and identify key analytical factors in support of RRS credit analysis, under full supervision and mentorship from the D&A Manager.
  • Perform certain routine administrative and other ad hoc creditrelated tasks as advised by D&A Manager.
  • Provide support and be a resource to other Associates as a backup, under overall supervision of D&A Manager.

  • Minimum undergraduate/ first level degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualifications) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
  • Preferably some proven experience, particularly in nonfinancial corporate companies.
  • Proven Accounting background, with strong focus in financial analysis (e.g., through coursework, or relevant work experience).
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Excel and knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is helpful.

This role will focus primarily on supporting the Corporate Finance Group (CFG), dedicated to rating non-financial corporate issuers, and there is potential for cross-training in supporting varying asset classes and methodologies, as part of career progression.
