We are looking for a Legal Analyst for our Cluster in Central America and Caribbean.


Main Accountabilities:

  • Provides legal support to Counsels and Sr Counsel in a wide variety of business topics, in order to offer the other functions a proper legal assessment of a given situation, identifying risks and consequences.
  • Interacts with colleagues from other local and regional functions and handles matters of small and medium complexity directly with internal clients, including managers.
  • Reviews, drafts, revises, and negotiates a wide range of agreements with customers, vendors, partners, distributors, resellers and other third parties.
  • Request legal opinions to outside counsels regarding legal matters in order to provide a legal backup and trustworthy opinion.
  • Provide legal support to the members of the organization, in order to assure the legality of the different activities carry out by the department. Provide Legal Advice to Business Partners in connection with the day to day Business Operations.
  • Act as focal point for regional legal projects for the countries assigned. Assist with the implementation of departmental plans, objectives and best practices towards providing an optimal support to the Business.
  • Review of other departments projects, ensuring compliance with tobacco law when applicable, local law and company policies.
  • Delivery Policy Trainings

Who we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in law (licenciatura) and already incorporated in the Bar Association of Costa Rica.
  • 3+ years of previous experience at a Law firm or at the Legal Department of a multinational.
  • Experience drafting all types of commercial agreements.
  • Experience working and participating in projects
  • Experience working with third parties or law firms to request legal opinions
  • Knowledge of notary and corporate documents
  • Advanced English level (written and oral)
