locations- San Jose- time type- Full time- posted on- Posted Today- job requisition id- JR This position will report to the Costa Rica SSC Site Lead and lead the R2R team in the planning, management and delivery of in scope processes including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and any other related managerial and decision activities.


Key attributes of this role include:

  • Deep understanding of end to end R2R processes and associated technology platforms-
  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems.-

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the R2R Team. Ensure quality and efficiency of work produced.-
  • Ensure all journal entries are accurately posted and supported-
  • Oversee the submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by the region-
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports generated through ERP systems including updates for changes in financial master data (e.g., chart of accounts, entity structure, accounting codes, etc.)-
  • Monitor escalated issues and unresolved account balances and ensure timely resolution-
  • Perform regular performance evaluations of staff members-
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the R2R function, ensuring that improvements are incorporated in the work routine. Form strong collaborative relationship with Global Process Owners.-
  • Ensure robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures and processes-
  • Monitor the performance and quality of activities performed based on agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level agreements (SLAs)-
  • Develop and maintain scorecards and KPIs to manage the performance of the department-
  • Ensure that process change directives and other changes initiated by global are implemented regionally-
  • Proactively monitor and operate a robust SOX and internal control environment
  • Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience)


  • Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Finance and accounting background supported by professional certifications (e.g. CPA, or others)
  • Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Experience 57 years of relevant experience. Animal Health / Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing R2R functions in a shared services environment
  • Other Skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral
  • Portuguese a plus
  • Continuous improvement methodologies knowledgeexperience is a plus
