- Demonstrate, cultivate, and share relevant knowledge, skills, and standards
- Deploy optimized code validated through performance monitoring
- Conduct code reviews and perform unit testing to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Ensure proper version control and backup of solutions
- Identify opportunities to minimize maintenance and technical debt
- Collaborate to establish and promote best practices within the team and department
- Train end-users and stakeholders to effectively utilize the solutions
- Support agile work processes and maintain current work management systems (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- 2+ years of proven experience in Java with Spring Boot programming and component-based development
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or three years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and component-based development using Java
- Familiarity with Python, Angular, Kafka, Spring, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML, JMS, and both relational and document-oriented databases
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Proficient in code versioning and CI/CD practices (e.g., Git, GitLab)
- Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEs, various plugins, Maven, and Nexus
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional development team
- Self-motivated with a customer service-oriented mindset and excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of Expeditors' products/services and the freight forwarding industry
- Experience with UI/UX design concepts
- Oracle Java certification
- SAFe or Agile certification
