The Accounting Supervisor responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper review of account balances for Expeditors, preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annually reports and schedules.

This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies.

On the audit front, this position will manage department's response to internal and external audit requirements and will ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the day to day Accounting operations including A/P, GL, Capital Expenditure, Revenue Recognition and Taxes.
  • Performing month end activities that include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and any other information to statutory authorities for Payroll, VAT and Corporation Tax.
  • Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended
  • Provide support on the Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Audits.
  • Maintain a good relationship and communicate frequently with Operation, to ensure timely and accurate processing for accounting transactions
  • Generate ad hoc reports and metrics and KPI to ensure department's goals are being achieved.
  • Review and conduct staff appraisals timely, and at a minimum once per year per employee
  • Ensure all staff and positions have job descriptions, clear expectations and are working with structured development plans.
  • Ensure all positions have clear back up procedures in case of absences and/or unforeseen events.
  • Continually provide coaching and training to the team members
  • Build and monitor performance metrics, with principal focus on ensuring timely delivery of month end reports, reconciliations and other deliverables
  • Review department goals and personal plans periodically with staff to ensure buyin and accountability
  • Assist new hires with mandatory training completion within the first 6 months
  • Ensure compliance with company internal controls, specifically the Fınancıal Process Control Documentation.
  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
  • Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
  • Proactively promote the company's 10 cultural attributes.
  • Drive process improvements required to enhance controls and quality of reconciliations and related processes

Requisitos:


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance
  • 4+ years of proven Accounting and Finance experience (preferable in the Global Logistics Industry)
  • US GAAP experience (highly desirable).
  • High level of tax and regulatory knowledge.
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables
  • Advanced English Skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate with peers and direct reports
  • Proven experience in accounting supervisor role managing
  • Proven leadership attitude and skills
  • Ability to drive through change
