Job descriptionThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for the optimization of the services supported by Infotree for the different Intel the operations. The role includes the overall management, control and direction of Inbound or Outbound distribution operations and will work to continuously improve the functionality and level of service that the FC provides to our customers, resulting in exceeded productivity goals and the delivery to our customer promise.ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for the role include - Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change Six Sigma initiatives to enable Operations.- Manage a team of 12-14 Leaders with responsibility of a department of 250 employees within a very fast-paced time-critical and demanding environment- Set clarify requirements and expectations for Area Managers, Engineering, Logistics and Team Leaders- Measure performance through metrics, providing feedback, and holding Team Leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments- As needed partner with Team Leads to establish corrective plans to ensure that department meets objectives- Leverage ideas of Team Leaders to source and nurture creative improvement plans for the operation.- Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts- Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department- Work closely with support staff HR, OpEx Manager, Program Manager to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures- Manage and promote the maintenance of the working environment including driving health and safety standards across your operational area- Ensure security procedures are followed at all times- Maintains a complete management overview and thorough understanding of the manufacturing environment- Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes, available daily labor and daily production goals and hourly progress towards these goals- Improve quality and eliminate errors, reduce cost driven by Overtime.- Manage and report metrics daily- Ensure that customer orders are fulfilled in line with quality and safety guidelines- Continuously provide critical shift related information to Team Leaders and operators- Adjust labor allocation throughout your shifts to meet and exceed plans and forecasts- Engage with support functions and or other departments to address common issues or needs in key areas of performance e.g. process area readiness, 5S, safety, training- Managing Team Leads and Trainers that are doing process improvement projects, analysts, learning and development and technology developments.- Systematically gather information on process issues and develop sustainable and scalable solutions and ensure that they are delivered.- Interacts with internal and external stakeholders and Infotree Leadership to develop and manage change.- Work with stakeholders to guide design, build, test, and deployment of cross-functional solutions to address a wide variety of operational problems.- Enable transparency and decision making across Infotree leadership by providing communication and clear status of the initiatives you own.- Unify distributed efforts and own the plan to deliver quality outcomes for our customers.- Work across orgs to ensure we continue marrying internal support capabilities with best-in-class customer experience as new services and projects are launched.QualificationsBasic - Has strong communication skills, demonstrates a great sense of ownership, leads by example in all areas of performance and has the ability to develop subject matter expertise in all operations processes. You will need to be able to work with data, motivate employees to achieve the best, but most importantly have the ability to keep the customer at the heart of every decision you make.- You ll have an impressive track record in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. And that will include experience of managing teams involved in multiple areas, together with a real awareness of the kinds of initiatives that drive performance.- Academic degree on related field.- Ability to prepare, report and interpret data- Proficiency in Advanced Excel- Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills.- Experience in Project Management and driving continuous improvement projects- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from requirements definition through delivery of solution, including communication of status and results throughout the organization.- 2 Experience on a leadership position. Preferred- Practiced working knowledge of Six Sigma tools preferred Black Belt qualified and- Lean techniques Candidates will be degree qualified in Operations, Engineering, Logistics or similar.- An MBA degree would also be advantageous.Additional info
