The role

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager or Service Success Manager. (The project team may consist of i.e. Architects, Technical Consultants, analysts, SAM specialists etc.) The Project Coordinator will assist in monitoring the scope, time, budget and quality expectations, planning, controlling and monitoring projects aligned to the SoftwareONE Delivery Methodology. S/He will support a Project Manager or Project Owner in ensuring all aspects of the project are organized and running according to plan. The Project Coordinator will support PMO leadership in conducting audits to ensure all projects are adhering to global methodology standards, are in good financial health and meet the requirements for data accuracy.

Role & Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks on projects:

  • Coordinate and manage activities to ensure projects are implemented with full adherence with SoftwareONE’s Global Project Management MethodologyCapture meeting minutes, schedule team meetings and calls, update project progress and status, follow-up on action items and assist Project Leadership with updating project documentationDevelop project plans and creation and update of project management deliverablesSupport financial management activities including updating and maintaining accurate project data in our system of record. Conduct ongoing audits and analysis of the financial health of projects and prepares reporting for the PMO practice leader
  • Contribute content and knowledge to mature and update our pmONE methodology and documentation
  • Actively participating in functional and non-functional trainings as directed
  • Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements
  • Documents and maintains project management best practices and process documentation
  • Support pmONE resources (PMs, Senior PMs and Service Success Managers)

    • What we need to see from you

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor degree in project management, business administration, computer science, or another relevant degree Work Experience: 1 -3 years of relevant project management coordinator experience or exposure and/or holding a recognized project management certification. Work experience in a professional service organization is preferredExperience using Microsoft Project or Power BI is preferred but not requiredExperience with Microsoft Project Service Automation (PSA) or other project management tool/platform is highly desiredAble to work efficiently with minimal direction and be responsive to feedback Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Key Competencies: Solid financial acumen and understanding of project financials in the service industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong business acumenHighly organized with a strong attention to detail. Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills requiredAbility to establish priorities, plan, and be able to deliver to timelinesHighly motivated with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.
