The role

The AWS Consultant role will require cross solution level technical understanding and expertise across multiple platforms (primarily Windows & Linux), hybrid cloud (with a focus on management, operations, and automation), database (SQL, ORACLE, SAP, RDS, Aurora), public cloud (IaaS, PaaS), Application Development, Cloud Native Applications and Development Operations (DevOps). While the primary focus will be on Amazon Web Services technologies, there will be a reliance in the expertise in foundational partners such as, but not limited to, VMware, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps among others, will serve as foundational technologies and solutions within the stack. The practice will also include “emerging technology” solutions from newer publishers and vendors that are finding traction in the broader marketplace and/or serve a specific niche solution.


· Leading the technical implementation of small, mid and large multi-national engagements within and across countries

· Execution of highly complex consulting services based on industry best practices

· Possess foundational working knowledge of general principles of IT Industry Standards (COBIT)

· Drive consultative selling activities within complex customer environments

· Analyze & gather business requirement from large & complexity client environment and perform required research and investigation to identify and create technical solution proposals based on client requirements and business outcomes.

· Prepares cost estimates for licensing and product sales as well as professional services (deployment, migration, implementation, workshops, etc.) by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with other engineers, architects, practice leads and other professional and technical personnel (both internal and external).

· Develop overall solutions including high-level design (e.g.-Whiteboarding), statements of work (SOW), service design and bills of materials (BOM).

· Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

Job Specifics:

  • Provide expert guidance to customers, driving solution architecture, and ensuring solution strategy is optimally aligned with their business strategy.
  • Ability to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures.
  • Ability to develop Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements to solution / technologies.
  • Create and implement a solution roadmap and select the right infrastructure and technology platform or product based on in-depth knowledge of one and broad knowledge of other technologies and/or alliance product landscape
  • Misc.

  • Travel required up to 50% with the ability to travel to the United States of America.
  • Maintain and acquire advanced level technical certification in assigned area and maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Performance based quarterly incentives will be structured.
  • What we need to see from you

  • 5+ years or equivalent experience working with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience using Agile, Jira and Confluence for Project Management
  • Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience using Ansible for Configuration Management
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for Code Repo
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for Pipeline build/release
  • Expert Consulting skills, high technical proficiency with deep cloud skillset.
  • Customer business understanding: Governance, objectives, practices and processes controls related to business requirements
  • Significant hands on experience in on premise cloud and public cloud solutions architecture.
  • Ability to independently conduct meetings with engineering-level, management-level or executive level customer personnel in regard to positioning sales and solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to discuss cross functional services
  • Strong consultative commercial acumen
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including capability to develop and deliver high quality public presentations
  • Demonstrated delivery excellence

  • Flexibility & resilience
  • University degree preferred (in the field of Information Technology and/or or equivalent combination of experience and education; Master’s degree preferred).
  • AWS certified professional and Associate is desired.
  • Significant technical experience in AWS IAAS and PaaS Solutions.
  • Agile and DevOps background
  • Familiarity with archive, disaster recovery and business continuity in global operations
  • Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Proficient in at least one coding language
  • Kubernetes Containers and Docker experience
  • Up to 70% chargeability on delivery engagements depending on workload and capacity requirements.
  • Work closely with the NORAM FDC Leader to introduce best practices and ensure efficacy of our AWS Professional Services, and assist in evangelizing our Managed Services.
  • Managing of individual attainment of project profitability, utilization, chargeability, efficiency metrics and any other relevant KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives as an active participant of our change management process; provide feedback about possible improvements, issues, and concerns (what is working well, what is not working well).
  • Complete, manage, and maintain a Personal Development Plans.
