The Senior Pricing Manager role is based out of Costa Rica and will report into Senior Director of Pricing & Monetization Operations. This person will be leading a cross-geo team while being accountable for a diverse charter within Pricing and Monetization operations relating to various business models like Perpetual, SaaS and Subscription and others. This role’s charter will include leading operational activities for areas like SKU or Offer creation, License Configuration, SaaS offer Setups, Billing Setups, End-To-End Testing of Business Operations for offers, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) operations, Price Books, Various Production system setups (Billing, Booking, Quoting, etc.), Pricing and Discounting Setups, etc.
Job Role and Responsibility:
Be Accountable for People Management of the Cross-Geo team
Be Accountable for Mentoring, Training and Career development of team members
Be Accountable for the Quality, Timeliness and Completeness of various Pricing operations’ activities managed by the team
Drive or Support Projects and Continuous improvement initiatives as needed
Provide Thought leadership and Operational leadership for the charter
Provide overall business direction to ensure that all team members are in alignment with both department and business goals
Recommend and drive various initiatives for continuous improvement in various operations of Perpetual, SaaS and Subscription
Liaise with various Business stakeholders and build bridges for collaboration
Represent Pricing Ops team in various forums and be able to play the role of a high-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various Perpetual, SaaS and Subscription operations
Provide Project Management support for various Projects and Initiatives as needed
Co-ordinate and work in liaison with globally spread-out team and stakeholders
Display dynamic engagement i.e., Lead when needed and be hands-on when needed
Be the Site Lead for Pricing Operations in Costa Rica
The person who fills this position will need to thoroughly understand VMware’s Perpetual and SaaS Products and operations. The Senior Manager must proactively interface and co-ordinate efforts with corporate stakeholders, clearly understand responsibilities for execution, guiding and helping the team in reaching the project goals, ensure there is proper documentation and processes in place, ensure on-time, accurate and consistent delivery, and regularly make presentations to senior leadership.
12-20 years of industry experience in Pricing or Monetization or Finance or Marketing operations in an Enterprise Software business or an ISV or a Technology company
Must have led a large team (> 15 members). It would be an added advantage if this person had reportees from multiple geographies
Demonstrated experience of managing teams for > 8-10 Years
Exposure to working in SaaS / PaaS / IaaS setups would be preferable
Experience in Pricing domain would be an added advantage

Possess good exposure to various Enterprise Systems like Pricing Setup Systems, CPQ Systems, Billing Systems, Order Management Systems, SFDC systems, Oracle/SAP ERP systems, etc.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to thrive and guide the team in demanding environments that impose new challenges frequently
Demonstrate ability to learn business processes quickly
Demonstrate Pro-active problem-solving ability
Demonstrate ability to deal with ambiguity and be able to manage Crucial conversations

*** This role is flexible and can be done from home, in an office, or a combination of the two anywhere in Costa Rica.
Eventually, post-pandemic they will be expected to work onsite 1-2 days per week***
