About the Role:

The GBS Manager – Global Reporting & Analytics will be a key contributor in the ongoing expansion of data solutions for Global Business Services (GBS) and internal Boston Scientific regions, divisions, and functions. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of technical resources that deliver self-service reporting and analytic solutions that provide internal customers with data, KPIs, or analysis to improve their business operations. The preferred candidate is an individual with strong people management, technical, analytical, communication, process improvement, critical thinking and business partnership skills. The ideal candidate works best within a team environment, is a self-starter, natural leader, is capable of handling multiple projects, and is committed to quickly delivering high-quality services and solutions within deadlines.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage, coach, and provide guidance to a technical team in multiple locations; hire and train new members on the team; maintain and drive a culture of continuous improvement and strong customer service mindset
  • Lead projects by developing and executing well-structured work plans, facilitating project governance meetings by leveraging Lean Business Process tools/ methodologies and Project Management tools/methodologies (Waterfall, Agile and Dev/Ops methodologies)
  • Partner with functional/business leaders and IT to assess value propositions; gather requirements and work with various teams to evaluate reporting and analytic solutions to solve business problems
  • Prioritize, plan, and deliver reporting or analytic tools to customers per agreed service level agreements
  • Manage, train backups, and ensure continuous delivery and maintenance of existing/new reporting or tools
  • Collaborate and provide oversight on day to day operations; ensuring deliverables and service levels are met; provide guidance and support on reports rationalization, continuous improvement, report conversions due to system migration or upgrade, and strengthen customer relationships
  • Provide day to day support as needed to the Senior Manager in all aspects of managing the operations
  • Identify, design, and implement internal data flow-related process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Seek to understand business requirements for data/information and translate requirements into actionable strategies
  • Work with senior management to prioritize business and information needs and identify opportunities for advanced analytics utilization
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Lead the design and development of data visualizations (reports and dashboards) using aesthetic design principals and end-user experience optimization
  • Perform root cause analysis on data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Continuous focus on enhancements, process improvements and automation to optimize efficiency and accuracy across GRA service offerings
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, finance, Analytics, Computer Science or Software Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years total experience: 5+ years’ experience managing people, 3+ years’ experience in associated Reporting and Business Intelligence and Analytics tools.
  • Desired knowledge : Expertise with data tools and programming languages like SQL,Python, & R, data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, ETL tools like Alteryx
  • Experience with systems and platforms like SAP ERP (ECC or S4), SAP Hana on AWS, Hyperion, SAP Ariba
  • English Level required: C1:(90-94%).
