    • Business Summary:

This position reports to the General Ledger Manager and will be primarily responsible for the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and tax compliance across LATAM, in addition to monthly close responsibilities including financial data analysis while partnering effectively with various teams across the global finance organization.
    Job Role and Responsibility:

  • Assistance in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP standards.
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts as per local GAAP and completion of statutory audit.
  • Processing the necessary adjustments between US GAAP and Local GAAP in agreed format.
  • Goodwill/intangible Asset Assessment.
  • FRS20 Stock Option Expense review.
  • Corporation Tax – Preparation of required data for Tax Advisor, review, and approval of
  • Corporation tax and deferred tax asset/liability.
  • Presentation of final accounts to Company Directors for approval and signature.
  • Assistance in the preparation and filing of statistical returns.
  • Assistance in the preparation of the consolidated group financial analytics on quarterly basis.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests as required.
  • Supervise and review junior accountants’ work.
  • Mentor junior accountants to ensure growth and development in line with company values.
  • Review of processes to ensure compliance with Corporate policies and SOX controls.

    • Required Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of accounting Post Qualification Experience
  • CPA, CPI, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Strong statutory accounting experience (preferable US GAAP to local GAAP experience and IFRS).
  • Knowledge on Costa Rica Free Trade Zone regulations/Procomer requirements and experience in filing of regulatory requirements for Large National Taxpayers beneficial. (D-101, D-104, D-151 and other queries\audits from tax authorities).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient PC and excellent Excel skills required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are critical.
  • Strong organizational skills to be able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Comfortable engaging internal partners and global business stakeholders, project teams, etc.
  • Unquestionable integrity.

    • Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle/SAP Financials experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge on asset control processes and systems.
  • Continuous improvement attitude, ability to seek out and implement internal/external best practices.
