JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

We seek a CBS Global IT Application Development Supervisor who will oversee a small team that maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. In this role, you will coordinate individuals who conduct software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Acts as a day-to-day, key point of contact with our management, consultants and users to understand business priorities while compiling and prioritizing, enhancements and defect resolutions to applications.
  • Guide others in technical software testing and debugging of systems and software applications, as needed.
  • Oversee a small-size team performing basic to advanced and complex programming, coding and documentation of systems and applications software.
  • Supervises day-to-day activities, which include analysis of business requirements and preparation of detailed technical specifications to write applications and programs.
  • Leads or supervise the day-to-day activities related to the strategy and technical planning of system/application technology in accordance with internal and external software compliance standards.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

    • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor ́s degree in one of the following: IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or related.
  • Exp – 5 years IT Operations Management / Software Development teams
  • Should have experience of ITIL process. Should be familiar with Remedy process.
  • Should have lead a team of minimum of 15 to 20 team members.
  • Proven experience with global customer service or working with a culturally diverse team.
  • Proven experience defining / managing Agile teams.
  • Proven Experience working with partners to evaluate business needs and define requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new, complex technologies
  • Proven experience with global customer service or support experience

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master, SAFe or related certification
  • Experience with DevOps, CD/CI frameworks
  • Experience transforming organizations through agile methodologies
  • Experience with mobile development technologies such as: Xamarin, Swift, jQuery, Bootstrap, Iconic, etc.
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Platform and Automation including: AWS, Azure, Google, VMWare, OpenStack, etc.
  • Experience with at least one configuration technology including: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Varying depths of experience in a variety of programming languages and tools including: Java (bootstrap), JavaScript (React), APIs (Kong), with a preference toward open source technology.
  • Working experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery practices (Jenkins, XLDeploy, Drone, etc.)
