What You Will Achieve

This role is a global data stewardship position responsible for strategy, procedures, implementation, standardization, continuous improvement, and oversight of the process integration for Global Enterprise master data. Provide knowledge and execution to design, implement, and continuously improve efficient and effective financial and business processes in support of deployments, migrations, acquisitions and divestitures. To assist in the optimization of Pfizer’s global ERP solutions and Financial Services business model.

This role requires an understanding of master data standard processes, shared services operations and Enterprise ERP process automation. A thorough understanding of existing ERP technology is an important capability. Your expertise and skills will help Pfizer manage its finance and accounting practices. You will put in place system controls and determine the operation's consistency with corporate objectives and standards through various verification methods and processes. You will identify internal control gaps in business procedures, processes or systems, and initiate appropriate remedial actions.

As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Work with Team Lead of Process Integration and Master Data to ensure process consistency
  • Ensure alignment with overall business goals and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure global data adheres to type definition
  • Has authority to prioritize/approve changes to master data based on type and business case
  • Provide ongoing communication to key stakeholders
  • Ensure ongoing process improvement
  • Oversee and ensure standards are met: in regards to data, systems security, financial controls, change management and process excellence
  • Collaborate with Financial Service process leads to ensure compliance and control is properly addressed for master data parameters.
  • Collaborate with all business divisions to drive consistent master data parameters
  • Align and collaborate with various project teams from the SAP ERP COE, Financial Services, Market Finance, BT, etc.
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders and divisions including but not limited to Commercial, PGS, RDM, and Enabling Functions to ensure all components of transition to shared services are addressed
  • Qualifications

    Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in finance, IT, or shared services operations preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years ERP experience preferred.
  • Broad understanding of business process models within a specified functional area (O2C, P2P, R2R, etc.).
  • Experience in working with SAP R/3 ERP and other software to develop business process solutions.
  • Strong background in process optimization, control, and improvement using tools such as six sigma and/or other process analysis and development methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal; honest, open and direct

  • Master's Degree
  • Information Technology skills, System Application & Products, Hyperion Financial Management / Financial Data Quality Management Smart View experience
  • Experience in dealing with external auditors and overseeing the audit process
