We are searching for a talented, dynamic, experienced, and highly driven Payroll Analyst focused on Costa Rica Payroll.

This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for the taking care of monthly payroll activities. The role performs analysis, and data entry of specific cases impacting transactions in the payroll vendor’s system. This involves cross system analysis, and issue resolution to determine the data changes that require to be entered to ensure accurate pay. Results are reviewed with payroll vendor as well as Supervisor/ Manager to reconcile the record for appropriate pay. This will also include internal work coordination within VMware to seek a smooth data flow and adherence to high quality standards. Should also be ready to be responsible for other LATAM Payroll.

    Job Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll across the Costa Rica\LATAM region.
  • Validate the payroll inputs have flown to the vendor’s system accurately by following checklist
  • Partner with a third-party company responsible for payroll processing, ensuring that employee payroll is processed accurately and timely, with the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, profit sharing, benefits, etc.
  • Review payroll reports and timesheets for correctness before payroll transactions.
  • Respond to employee queries and resolve any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues
  • Assist HR in any documentation, where report needs to be provided by payroll
  • Maintain relationship with various stakeholders internal to the organization as well as payroll vendor
  • Keep the payroll related documentation up to date, maintain checklist and propose additional checklist to be included where necessary.
  • Manage Payroll Compliance (Payroll Taxes, Stock Based Compensation, and Statutory Audits)
  • Responsible for payroll accounting and reconciliations
  • Involve in any payroll related projects

    • Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree on accounting, business administration, HR or similar
  • 2.5+ years of relevant experience in Payroll in fast-growing, multi-national companies
  • Knowledge of general employment legislation and the application of regulations in Costa Rica
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the 'big picture'
  • Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate excellent oral, written and client facing communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask

    • Preferred Skills:

  • SAP, WorkDay & HelpNow+ systems knowledge will be considered a plus
  • Experience in working with outsourced payroll internationally
  • Excellent team player who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team located in different countries
