The Opportunity

Join a team of legal professionals who help drive to close software licensing and SaaS agreements for Adobe’s growth business segment across multiple verticals (retail, healthcare, financial services, technology, etc.). Partner with the Adobe growth sales team to support the sale of multiple products from marketing automation, ecommerce tools and work management software. Work within the boundaries of Adobe’s playbooks and annotated agreement terms to close multiple new, upsell and renewal business opportunities. Be the new team member who helps refine those existing legal tools to drive Adobe's business and revenue!

We are seeking a hardworking, positive, and high-energy Legal Specialist to support our North American sales team in Denver, Colorado. This role will work closely with several different business units within Adobe including: Sales, Product legal, Professional Services, Finance, Security, and Privacy to provide advice on a range of legal topics that can arise with each new business sale. Help build new tools to assist sales in minimizing the amount of legal touch needed for commercial transactions whether it be further refinement of existing self-service CLM (contract lifecycle management) or CPQ (configure, price and quote) systems or expanding our internal law department playbooks and sales self-help modules.

What you'll Do

This Legal Specialist will be based in our Denver, Colorado office and will be working on a multitude of outbound licensing and sales matters for Adobe's broad range of Product offerings (including SaaS, software and professional services), which is significant to Adobe's growth segment success. You will be provided ongoing management guidance, playbooks and annotated terms to guide the negotiation of strategic transactions, while managing a significant volume of sales agreements. Strong interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to coordinate periodic projects. A can-do attitude is a must, and must be able to provide solutions that balance legal and business concerns, be customer-focused, and an excellent teammate. We are also a close, collaborative team that loves to have fun together!

What you need to succeed

  • 2-5 years’ experience minimum in negotiating commercial contracts, with at least 1-2 years' experience in the area of software licensing/technology transactions. Prior SaaS or licensing negotiation experience is a must.
  • Significant experience supporting sales professionals and cloud-based offerings is required.
  • Prior CLM and CPQ experience a plus.
  • Balance a high volume of revenue generating agreements in conjunction with projects.
  • The successful candidate must also be prepared to partner with Sales and various other internal business units.
  • Must be diligent in attention to details, a good communicator, and highly organized.
  • Must have excellent drafting skills and full command of Microsoft Word.
  • Ideal candidate will have either prior in-house negotiation experience with a technology company, law firm experience, or both.
