Also, it’s table stakes that these business capabilities are backed by resilient, highly available services

What you'll Do

With ample opportunities ahead of us, we're hiring a Senior Product Manager for the Cross Platform team. Our success hinges on how well we’ve primed the Commerce platform to meet immediate and near-term future business needs. Thus,

  • You will frequently engage with internal and external clients to scout for what’s on the horizon
  • You will prioritize what commerce capabilities to build with detail requirements for underlying services and API responses e.g., JavaScript API definition. Note: this is a technical role.
  • You will partner with engineering to evolve our Commerce platform architecture, transform monolithic systems into microservices, deliver a common set of services and APIs applicable for all sales channels and ensure resiliency features are built
  • What you'll need to succeed

    We’re looking for a product manager who is business savvy, empathetic to customer and developer needs, and possesses technical depth – particularly has a deep interest in managing APIs and contribute to the long term platform architecture.

  • You learn new things fast, have the knack to dig in deep to identify root causes and can unravel ambiguities to establish clearer understanding for your clients
  • You are adept at analyzing data (performing conjoint analyses), understanding architecture and workflow diagrams to frame up issues and generate recommendations
  • You are known for providing unambiguous, detail, neatly structured requirements with API specifications and non-functional requirements
  • You are self-aware and instinctively know when to adjust your communication style to appeal to different clients – technical and non-technical audience
  • You are able to easily translate complex things into simple concepts and be able to communicate business value and impact to customer experience
  • You are passionate working with developers, learning about new technologies, and evangelizing the enablement of self-service capabilities
  • You have a strong track record building Services, APIs, SDKs with a good grasp of modern JavaScript and UI application frameworks
  • You have years of experience delivering results through a distributed software teams as a technical product manager and willing to be based in San Jose, CA.
