Job Description


The Business Manager for the Microsoft Account will provide support to the Microsoft Account leadership team in regards to the rhythm of business, sales operations support, and various internal projects that exist across the portfolio.

The Business Manager’s primary role is to oversee Sales and Delivery Operations, drive the “rhythm of the business” throughout the fiscal year, including leadership meetings, business reviews, supporting communication strategy and operations development and training.

He/she will help create and drive strategic activities and projects as defined by the Regional & Account Leadership. Specific daily responsibilities may include supporting the sales team with deal readiness and sales booking processes, supporting project delivery teams with compliance tasks, conducting monthly reviews of account costs and expenses, supporting the annual business planning and budgeting process, and responding to ad-hoc data requests and results analysis.

While some of the work in this role is establishing and ensuring adherence to a regular Avanade business rhythm, it also involves the rhythm of the Accenture business on the Account and working with Accenture business operations and leads as stakeholders. The Business Manager must have experience balancing multiple inputs and workstreams and be comfortable facilitating difficult discussions among stakeholders. Organization, reliability, and follow-through are key competencies required for success.

Key Responsibilities

-Assist account leadership in communicating and executing the vision for the account.

-Define and drive the rhythm of the business for the Microsoft Account

-Support Sales and Delivery Operations for the Microsoft Account

-Ensure ongoing consistent adherence to commercial processes & procedures and manage issue and risk reporting on non-compliance to standards with account leadership.

-Drive operational efficiency and delivery excellence as you lead critical business processes and activities to support planning, operations, and strategy implementation.

-Provide detailed complex analyses, metrics, and reporting as requested to report on the “state of the account.” This may include but is not limited to: financial analyses, process compliance, staffing analyses, internal controls compliance, and others.
