The Desktop Engineer is part of a large, global hands-on, technical support team, that focuses on high-quality customer support to keep our Employee Technology and Operations services running smoothly. We are looking for an individual that enjoys working with new technologies, striving to provide great technology capabilities and services to our end users, as well as help maintain End User Support and relationships across the globe. The Desktop Engineer will provide day-to-day desktop engineering support for any Windows and Mac users. We are looking for an individual that can work in a fast-paced team, and help create a great "user experience" for Experian.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand business, security, and technical requirements, and communicate that information to the App Packaging Team for packaging requirements
  • Test software applications for compatibility, coordinate deployments and sign off on completion
  • Participate in Change Control processes and raise Change Requests
  • Test new hardware and software for global compatibility in Experian
  • Help test/set new standards for Experian users to use globally
  • Work closely with Security to role out new Security tools globally
  • Assist Security with investigations, as requested
  • Responsible for handling escalations from Helpdesk, Field Support, Exec Support, and EGOC
  • Manage Vulnerability Management Process Proactive approach to identifying new vulnerabilities and how to remediate Assist team with the 3rd strike email manual remediation process Reporting Ensuring assets are correctly assigned to the team in the CMDB Raise/escalate CI Disputes Manage security remediate rollouts by following the release management process. Monitor rollouts Hardware driver updates
  • Manage and support project requirements for Employee Technology and Operations. This will include our ET&O, various Business projects, as well as Security.
  • Configuration Manage / InTune Understand and manage deployment collections including exclusions Deployments are on schedule and deployed correctly Check devices are in the correct collections Manage Applications/ Packages / MS Store for Business applications Co-ordinate SCCM environment. Ensure yearly upgrades are implemented. Windows Workstation OS upgrades & Office 365 Image standard / Testing new hardware / New builds.
  • Work with integration teams on the business requirements and what’s required from the Desktop Engineering side. Packages Device configuration settings
  • Support, Training and for Go-Live
  • Work with the internal and client audit teams to provide proof of policy enforcement and compliance.
  • Work to close out Risk items as well as provide monthly reporting on Risk issues
  • Maintain communications for intranet site, departmental communications, vulnerability communications, and Change Champions groups
  • Makes recommendations for process improvements and technology changes
  • Communicate issues and incidents to management as required
  • Create and maintain documents and procedures, with direction from management
  • May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Reports to the Global Director of Employee Technology & Operations
  • RELATIONSHIPS

  • Build credible influential relationships with various business units across the globe
  • Own and manage agreed relationships in regional BU's
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Required skills and abilities:

  • 5-7 years of experience in the field and campus related areas
  • Experience leading others is a plus
  • Must be available and willing to work extended and/or alternative hours as needed for roll-outs, system upgrades, etc.
  • Provide On-Call support during off hours
  • Willing to travel if needed
  • Must have superior oral and written English communication skills
  • Superior inter-personal and customer service skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Sharepoint knowledge a must
  • SCCM skills a must
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow a must
  • Must have experience running small projects
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft O365
  • Experience with data encryption and data recovery is required
  • McAfee experience a plus
  • Self-starter that takes pride in the quality and timeliness of work they perform
  • Must work well with others as part of larger international team
  • Able to multitask and work independently on a variety of assigned tasks
  • History of working in a fast-paced environment with little direction necessary
