This role is responsible for the maintenance and business requirements of applications used in the Global Data Services (GDS) organization. The GDS Technical Applications Associate Business Analyst will support the GDS Technical Applications Manager to globally provide GDS application requirements in support of the business. This would include, but not be limited to, automating tasks/processes, enhancing digital workforce, analyzing customer/supplier related data, facilitating appropriate updates to maintain database integrity, and providing solutions on potential issues as they arise.

The GDS Technical Applications Associate Business Analyst will support the Technical Applications Specialists within this functional team. They will also work alongside the GDS cross-functional Managers, Supervisors and Team Leads, to ensure all Global Data Services application requirements and deadlines are met.

This role will also support the North America Customer Financial Services (CFS) organization, up to 50% of their time, with similar responsibilities as noted below.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) development as directed
  • Maintain and improve documentation relating to RPA/Blue Prism automation, business process documentation, various procedures, SQL queries, eForms workflow, and other related material
  • Assist in the maintenance of multiple customer and supplier databases, primarily Oracle TCA
  • Extract, clean, validate, and compare customer and supplier data with an investigative and analytical mindset
  • Gather and organize information on problems and procedures as they arise or as directed
  • Analyze gathered data and suggest potential solutions to any given issues
  • Work with the team to ensure that data integrity is of the highest quality
  • Document findings and prepare recommendations for implementation of enhancements to systems and/or improved results
  • Assist with various testing associated to instance patches/new code, directly and indirectly related to the Trading Community Architecture (TCA)
  • Support various aspects of the Customer Vendor Data Hub (CVDH)
  • Analyze and update customer/supplier data to ensure database integrity
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests and inquiries
  • Assist in initiating, developing and implementing functional procedures/process changes for improved effectiveness
  • Maintain local and department database structures and processes including updates and alterations.
  • Create and maintain routine and ad-hoc financial and operational reports from a variety of sources and distribute/file to multiple users and location sites
  • Provide support, where needed, in conducting a variety of upgrades, break/fix and other related functions during testing and data validation
  • Create and pursue completion of break/fix tickets covering a variety of technical and operational issues working with IT and other partners
  • Assess potential automation solutions to daily processing needs, build short and/or long term projects to increase efficiencies that may include writing RPA processes, macros or other data exchange improvements
  • Gain understanding of primary data and file exchange structures, processes and stakeholders to enable quick identification and resolution of basic daily breakages
    • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years general business background.
  • Blue Prism Developer Certification.
  • Proficient in SQL and use of Toad/SQL Developer.
  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (customer/supplier) database structure.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Proficient in English.
