Job Description:

The SME LA Cash Application Analyst is responsible for supporting the Manager and Team Leaders, Accounts Receivable/Cash Application. This role is responsible for contributing to meeting department goals; preparing ad hoc management reports and development/maintenance of performance reports of team members and ensuring that during audit process data is provided in time and in quality. The SME Cash Application Analyst handles a variety of inquiries and develops solutions for moderately complex issues. Problem solving requires the use of judgment, research and analytic skills to determine possible solutions and make appropriate choices as decisions or actions can directly impact business unit, division, and corporate economic profit and sales goals. Ownership, accountability and teamwork are strong soft skills required to make successfully this position. The person selected is to identify trends through analysis, focus on problem resolution, quality and compliance. The Process Expert supports the team to identify improvement opportunities and drives execution. Competencies Excellent problem solving with effective and transparent communication skills Strong analytical skills Able to identify and communicate risk areas Proven experience researching and resolving customer account inquiries Reconciliation experience Able to work independently Team player approach Proactive attitude Ability to prioritize and multitask Excellent coordination skills Experience leading or working on process improvement Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Development and maintenance of LA Cash Application performance reports Reviewing and improving team workloads to ensure the continuous delivery of agreed departmental goals Resolving day-to-day operational issues Being a subject matter expert of the LA Cash application area for the whole LA Cash Application department Covering some of the Team Leaders’ responsibilities and tasks in their absence Participating in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance; contribute ideas on ways to resolve problems to better serve the customer and/or improve productivity Identifying areas for cross-team process improvements, presenting improvement solutions Prioritizing improvement efforts within the department based on the communicated strategy of the department Leading Kaizen workshops and driving projects under his/her ownership Supporting projects owned by other team members of the LA Cash Posting department Joint responsibility concerning the coordination of training material development and process documentation updates Providing input with respect to performance related assessments of the members to Team Leaders and Manager Main requirements University degree in administration, business or finance 3+ years of work experience in the field of Order to Cash (Cash Application) Advanced English ERP system experience Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Shared Service Centre experience is preferred Very good time management skills Working well under time pressure and stress Preferred requirements: Intermediate to Advance Portuguese AS400 experience Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
