What do you get to do in this position?

The Strategic Marketing Specialist continuously integrate, implement and enrich global marketing processes targeted Schneider business units in local markets. Further overall responsibilities include developing, implementing, measuring and improving country campaigns targeted at key decision makers, influencers and partners to contribute to Schneider's commercial objectives.

This position should be the first contact between marketing centers of excellence and the BU, giving to the team the visibility and advice of the marketing plan and the best tools for the empowerment of the business.

This role is a significant contributor to drive overall go to market strategy and end-to-end customer experience for the Secure Power (IT) and Digital Energy businesses. This role will develop marketing communication strategies to create demand for data center and building management systems projects within our install base and new customers. The expected outcomes include greater brand awareness, demand generation, sales enablement and acceleration of digital efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop integrated marketing campaign strategy based on business priorities and local market needs.

  • Develop Marcom plans and oversee executions by using the most effective mix for the target audience and ensure the budget allocation and resources to meet the business needs

  • Manage the relationship with global and local business.

  • Work effectively with local business unit management team (one & only marketing contact) to drive marcom activities

  • Drives coordination across the transversal areas to deliver marcom programs. Resolve resource conflicts and prioritize needs in line with business

  • Marcom Influenced Revenue and Diffused revenue.

  • Develop, manage and execute the integrated communication plan in local countries based on Global Marketing guidelines - ensuring that Global Marketing principles and processes are followed in the cluster/country.

  • In teamwork with Global Marketing allocate and control marcom budgets by customer segments within assigned business area. Develop and implement an integrated local tactical marcom plan based on strategic guidance and local market needs in order to boost sales.

  • Design and execute strategic and operational marcom plans and programs against measurable goals using the most effective mix of channels and media for the target audience.

  • Integrate, implement, and help to improve Global Marketing processes locally (such as Strategy, Operations, Web Programs, Brand, Communications, Media relations, Press/Industry Analyst relations, Direct customer acquisition and retention, Events, Channel marketing) while ensuring seamless alignment with local business priorities leveraging the local centers of excellence.

  • Continuously analyze, measure and report KPI and ROI of all activities and programs carried out by mandatory use of Global Marketing tracking processes and systems. Based on ROI outcome, drive spending optimization.

  • Proactively work with Global Marketing, BUs, Sales, Partners, Local Marcom Support Team and customers to provide first hand feedback in order to improve market access strategies and tactics.

  • Proactively share best practices (and underperforming ones) with sales team and peers

  • Execute on MarCom projects where successful planning, attendance and execution will be the hallmark of effective performance.

  • Manage MarCom Programs calendar, budget and resource allocation.

  • Assemble and localize communication assets for country deployment.

  • Close relationship with the business units and commercial areas to achieve a comprehensive marketing plan, taking into account the specific and general needs of the region, also work closely with them to execute the different tactics of the marketing plan.

  • Continuous search for opportunities in media, 3rd parties, chambers that function as platforms to communicate the brand and impact the different target personas and segments.

  • Coordinate the implementation of marketing actions in the 6 countries of Central America.

  • Work very close with the Channel Marketing person, in order to ensure that the plans have a comprehensive execution from the different partners and go to market.

    This job might be for you if:  

  • 4-5 years of experience in strategic marketing working directly with corporate (no agencies) IT industry is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related (completed)

  • Experience and knowledge in IT market.

  • Operational marketing / strategy /vision

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, achieving goals on-time and on-budget

  • Experience communicating and presenting to senior management

  • Managing budget

  • Skills required:
  • Ability to actively listen in order to interpret and communicate precisely the concepts of the business.

  • Proactive, with great organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at business level

  • Ability to convert the complex business content in a one easy to read and understand for the audience

  • Ability to work with a broad range of individuals, subject matter experts, managers, vendors, colleagues of the business units, executive staff, etc.

  • With vision to develop high quality content.

  • Ability to accept constructive criticism of their work and adapt the mkt tools and content based on feedback from their colleagues.

  • Ability to work with multifunctional teams: management staff, back office, commercial, marketing, financial.

  • Qualifications:
  • English proficiency is a must
  • Strategic vision

  • Skills of writing, editing and proofreading and ability to write content for develop mkt tools

  • Skills for the use of digital tools

  • Ability to organize and synthesize content from various sources.

  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize

  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and do adjustments accordingly

  • Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
