Job Description

The Director, Global Account Management will be based in San Jose, CA. This individual will work to support Customer relationships and between the multiple sites; focusing on tactical execution that will affect the strategic relationship between Flex and the Customer. This individual will take part in growth for customer revenue and work to achieve goals.

    • Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Be an account Advocate – responsible for all aspects of the customer account and commercial relationship
  • Develop new business with key target customer markets to achieve specific booking targets.
  • Define, initiate, and program manage business development activities that will strengthen, expand, and drive market penetration.
  • Accurately articulate customer requirements back to Flex; identifying and securing the right subject matter experts; creating, leading, and ensuring accountability across deal specific collaborative teams, and then driving the company and the company’s resources to meet the customer’s requirements, whether it’s a specific response time or a type of response that the customer requires.
  • Have full regional responsibility for customer Profit & Loss to meet and exceed annual revenue and profitability growth targets
  • Collaborate with Internal and external product design organizations
  • Drive to grow business within current and new customer accounts
  • Develop, grow and manage current customer relationships
  • Manage the customer road map from a strategic relationship perspective
  • Negotiate contract terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers
  • Define the Business Unit organization structure and staffs appropriately
  • Work directly with client CEOs & COOs, ensure high-quality early customer communications involving sales projections, P&L for the business unit, build and ramp plans, etc.
  • Manage the team to effectively support customer contract terms and SLAs

    • Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in an Account Management or Similar role.
  • Background in Business Development
  • Strong Financial acumen with experience managing P&L of multiple accounts
  • Ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies
  • Understanding of inventory management practices
  • Provide direction to a Cross functional team to meet customer expectations and deliver financial performance
  • A deep knowledge of how hardware products are created, manufactured, and how the product development process works), is experienced working in the Consumer Electronics industry selling comprehensive technology solutions into related product development, supply chain, and/or manufacturing operations.
  • A working knowledge of consumer technology products markets (e.g., Personal Care Devices, Wearable technologies, Gaming consoles and peripherals, Audio and Video products and accessories and a broad understanding of related supply chain, product development, and manufacturing operations.)
  • A proven ability to function exceptionally in all phases of the sales process; ability to articulate approach to account sales strategy, planning and execution including employed solution selling methodologies.
  • Able to develop and maintain client executive relationships; able to map out complex accounts, define approach/strategy to building relationships up/down/across targeted account organizations.
  • Able to proactively create, drive, and manage proposals on opportunities
  • Able to develop client centric competitively differentiated value propositions
  • Knows how to prepare & plan for client executive interaction/meetings; knows how to track: meeting value, meeting objective achievement, meeting action item/follow-up; knows how to secure client call-to-action.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.
