Provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company’s products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.
Responsibilities: Manages and leads cross-functional team initiatives involving multiple engineering resources to drive issue escalation root cause analysis, resolution, corrective and preventative actions. Manages and leads cross functional teams to place a product on hold and generate a purge to remove defective material from inventory, production floor, finish goods, and field. Develops get well plan and associated schedules, drives plan execution, tracks action items and deliverables. Minimizing customer impact, while preserving company revenue. Provides clear and concise communication to stakeholders and management teams on progress. Collaborates with internal/external functional teams to develop and implement proactive improvement changes to product, process, or programs. Coordinates activities with internal and external partners; to tracks progress against established escalation and project plans, working with owners to update schedule and/or resource allocation to meet established timeline. Tracks and publishes weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicator reports. Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. PMP/PMI certification preferred. Typically 4-6 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills: Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results. Sound PM experience in IT industry - Server product experience preferred PMP/PMI certification and Quality Green belt or Black belt certification preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources. Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language since English presentation and meetings required for this role. Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, progress updates, and results at the senior management levels.
