Position Summary

The Reliability Engineering Team at Adobe is looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Manager in Lehi, Utah or San Jose, California. The SRE organization ensures reliability of the infrastructure and services that power Adobe products. The Operational Excellence Manager will work with partners in multiple business units and various organizations to create processes, reports and systems for governance and compliance around quality and public cloud cost management at Adobe.

Responsibilities

  • Systems CreationEnsure that all teams are integrated into the standard Operational Excellence systemContinually improve existing systems as the industry, company and business evolves to ensure consistent resultsPartner with solution teams to ensure that the systems are relevant within each business
  • Process & Policy CreationProvide proactive, clear, accurate, and timely updates to internal partners and management to enable understanding and clear expectationsEnsure that data, reports, and compliance analysis are accurately documented and distributed within agreed timeframesAnalyze and provide visibility and transparency of key data, trends, pain points, etc. for assigned solutionsDevelop processes and policies to enable complianceThis includes developing reports, systems, processes and tools to increase transparency to enable ease of compliance and drive operational excellenceSchedule and conduct compliance reviews with stakeholders to drive results
  • Tools CreationPartner with Reliability Engineering teams to build tools and automation to improve efficiency within the overall systemPartner with Business Intelligence teams to build automated reporting for real time transparency of key dataAlign with Product Management and Engineering on clear requirements with associated ROI for each of these teams

    • Requirements

  • Solid understanding and experience driving operational excellence, governance and compliance programs
  • 7+ years of experience creating Operational Excellence systems, tools and processes
  • Experience in information technology including but not limited to IT infrastructure and public cloud services and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal & written)
  • Ability to balance strength & diplomacy in driving results
  • Strong influencing / negotiating skills
  • Ability to see gaps in existing process and systems and design and drive improvements
  • Experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects
  • Strong collaboration skills working with local and remote teams
  • Technical understanding of development environments and systems
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • The ability to see the big picture & to create a clear, focused plan out of a world of noise
  • A motivated, can-do attitude
  • Common sense

    • Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Proven experience designing and implementing new operational processes
  • The ability to see opportunities for improving existing processes and systems to be more efficient and effective
  • Project / Program Management experience preferred
  • Engineering Management experience preferred
  • Experience managing projects with remote/geographically dispersed team members
  • Experience using MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
