Central Stores Operations Consultant - LAO Job Description Central Stores Operations Consultant - LAO Location: Flexible Anywhere in LAO Building on proven and successful Kimberly Clark Spare Parts Management practices, we are excited to now be embarking on a project as part of the Global Restructuring Plan to expand the use of those practices globally throughout our manufacturing sites within Kimberly Clark.
The project will deliver a higher level of availability of spare parts for our assets while significantly improving the value of our investment. A critical element in the global success of the project will be the hiring of three regional Central Stores Team members (one per region - APAC, EMEA & LAO), with the initial task being a key regional leader executing the project before transitioning to being the primary Central Stores team member for the region to ensure sustainable success for the future.   Central Stores “Operations Consultant” As a member of the Global Central Stores team the incumbents(s) will provide technical direction and operational leadership to Central Stores organization within a region (APAC, EMEA & LAO) to ensure compliance with the global standard and efficient operation of a healthy MRO inventory to meet all global business goals within corporate financial standards.  The focus of this position is to ensure the consistent operation of the MRO stores operations in line with the global Central Stores standards, including leading regional change management activities, providing consulting / training services to mill stores team, acting as the primary MRO Stores contact for the region, liaising with regional Procurement and Maintenance Reliability teams to coordinate MRO related activities to drive improvements in inventory health to optimize investment in working capital.
The incumbent will also represent the needs of the region with respect to MRO Stores operations etc.
within the Global Central Stores Team. From a development standpoint the intent of this position is to provide leadership experience leveraging through influence and coaching in a technical and operations environment.
This will include working with business teams and multifunctional teams The position will report to the Central Stores Manager. CUSTOMERS AND EXPECTATIONS * Customers – Global Central Stores, Mills/Plants, Procurement, Maintenance Reliability, R&E, Internal Control, IT and Legal * Expectations + Lead the implementation, operation of sustaining practices and training of global Central Stores operational processes / standards for MRO Stores Operations and healthy Inventory Management + Lead the regional implementation and sustaining of MRO Analytical Tools to support a healthy inventory within the stores organization + Function as the Regional Operations Consultant/Lead for the Central Stores Team to provide problem solving leadership, facilitation of global process improvements and support the development of analysis tools for inventory health management to ensure unified global application + Demonstrate leadership within the global stores organization in the support of manufacturing facilities in meeting their objectives in quality, cost, productivity and customer service + Provide expert knowledge of stores management systems / processes to regional mill stores teams + Provide leadership for Global Central Stores projects as required + Maintain knowledge of Import/Export and Financial Compliance requirements for the incumbent’s region to support processes to ensure supply of spare parts successfully across international borders + Lead the regional implementation of Stores Training and Policies/Procedures to ensure consistency of approach to stores management throughout the organization + Provide communication and drive synergy between Global Central Stores and other functions regarding strategies, plans, and issues NATURE/SCOPE This individual provides operations and technical expertise to a broad array of issues related to the management of MRO Stores operations.
The individual may lead or participate in business analysis ranging from strategic to tactical.
This person will lead and/or participate in multifunctional team’s assigned specific objectives or projects. The position requires the incumbent travel.
This will vary in frequency and length.
This may require travel outside the incumbent’s home country (expect travel in the 20 - 40% range). DIMENSIONS * This position has no direct reports * This position will be the regional leader for Global Central Stores, providing guidance and influence to the regional teams * Global MRO Inventory is valued at approximately $243 million BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industrial experience * The incumbent has in-depth knowledge and experience with several manufacturing processes, experience in mill operations, and knowledge of sector business strategies * The incumbent must be able to effectively organize and lead multifunctional teams, as well as interact with customers and suppliers PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Multifunction (e.g.
