If you are a Documentation and QA Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! You will provide scheduling and debottlenecking solutions to clients using our in-house discrete event simulation software. We view this role as an essential addition to our team to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality solutions and support to our clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to expand our product and deployment specific documentation. Additional responsibilities include testing new features/enhancements and updating release notes and coordinating with sales/management to ensure documentation scope is properly built into projects. AS A DOCUMENTATION AND QA ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

Create and maintain a sustainable documentation platform for our products. Close coordination with our development and engineering team is expected. 

Author deployment specific documentation/user guides. As projects transition to ongoing support and maintenance, own and maintain the documentation. 

Test and update model documentation when changes are made to existing models. 

Test new product features and enhancements and update release notes. 

Liaise with sales and management to ensure adequate time is budgeted for documentation, and clients understand the documentation lifecycle. 

Proactively learn to use our software to improve the quality of the documentation/user guides. 

WHO YOU ARE: You build the customer relationships. You solicit both input and discussion. You counteract closed door thinking. You try different solutions for problems and learn from the results. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

B.S. in STEM major 

2+ years of related experience (creating and managing technical documentation) 

Excellent technical writing skills. Work samples are expected. 

Ability to identify and document clear and concise procedures from engineer or client walk throughs. 

Detail-oriented and committed to quality 

Proficient with MS Office (primarily Word) 

International travel

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Experience in pharma/biotech manufacturing 

Experience with simulation modeling
