Our Team
Under general direction of the Manager, HR Operations, use knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to contribute to the success of Catalina's global Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in two primary ways. First, by providing functional configuration expertise supporting HR applications with a primary focus on Workday HCM and other HR systems. Second, the role will support Catalina with project management for small to medium sized HRIS projects. In both cases, extensive contact with internal stakeholders is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve moderately complex issues. The position is responsible for bringing appropriate business and technical teams together to facilitate solutions that meet user needs. Researches and analyzes statistical summaries and reports. Identifies new HR needs and makes alterations to existing programs to fulfill those needs.
Responsibilities
Maintain configuration for Workday Recruiting/HCM/Benefits & Talent and other modules as needed
Verify and evaluate requests, develop specification documentation for review and sign off from requestor
Complete system configuration and testing of all assigned changes
Create and maintain custom reports
Lead twice annual Workday upgrade and feature release process; manage regression testing; identify new functionality that may benefit the organization now or in the future.
Actively participate in Workday Community to identify any potential issues as well as identify any new solutions to existing issues
Recommend configuration changes that would result in more effective/efficient operations
Serve as a departmental resource and troubleshoot unusual data entry situations, problems with report writing, payroll issues, etc.
Identify requirements for testing, develop test plans, work with users to develop test scripts and coordinate test transmissions, as needed.
Ensure the various HRIS tenants are maintained
Ensure support materials are updated and changes communicated appropriately.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in HR Information System Management
1-3 years experience configuring Workday in at least one module (Talent, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Benefits, Compensation, etc.)
1-3 years experience of functional Workday in at least one area, human resources, payroll, compensation, performance management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Common office productivity software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong analytical and system administration skills
Strong project management and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Additional Preferred Skills
Root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills are important
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are critical
A strong desire to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
Must be able to work independently with limited general supervision
Ability to manage competing priorities
